Delete your Affirmation Counter account
Affirmation Counter · by Daybreak Labs
App: Affirmation Counter · Developer: Daybreak Labs
This page explains how to delete your Affirmation Counter account and the data linked to it. Affirmation Counter accounts use Google Sign-In. You don't need the App installed to make a request.
Option 1: In the app
- Open Affirmation Counter.
- Tap You in the bottom bar.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation and tap Delete. If you haven't signed in recently, the App asks you to confirm with Google (Continue with Google, then choose your account).
Your Google sign-in account with us and your Premium cloud backup are deleted immediately, the data on your phone is cleared, and the App starts fresh. If you aren't signed in, the same place shows Delete my data, which clears the data on your phone (nothing is stored in the cloud for you).
Option 2: Request by email (no app needed)
- Email [email protected] from the Google account email address you signed in with.
- Use the subject "Delete my Affirmation Counter account".
- If you can't send from that address, tell us the address on the account and we'll verify that it's yours before deleting anything.
Email a deletion request
We handle email requests within 30 days and confirm by email once your account is deleted.
Before you delete: subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. To stop being charged, cancel it in Google Play first (Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Affirmation Counter > Cancel), or open Google Play subscriptions.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account in Firebase Authentication: your account ID and the Google email address, name and profile photo linked to it. (Your Google account itself is not affected.)
- Your cloud backup in Google Cloud Firestore (Premium): saved sessions, affirmations, practice history and belief scores.
- App data on your phone (when you delete in the App): sessions, practice history, journey progress and settings.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Analytics data: usage data in Google Analytics for Firebase. It isn't linked to your account or email, and it's deleted automatically after up to 14 months.
- Support emails: your deletion request and our reply, kept for up to 12 months as a record that we handled it.
- Purchase records: Google Play keeps its own records of your purchases under Google's policies. We may keep minimal subscription records where the law requires (for example, for tax).
Data on your phone
Deleting your account in the App also clears the App's data on your phone. If you ask us by email instead, the copy on your phone stays until you uninstall the App or go to Android Settings > Apps > Affirmation Counter > Storage > Clear storage.
If Android backup is on, a copy of the App's data may also be in your Google account's device backup. You can manage or delete it in your phone's backup settings.
